This Wembley Downs home was ready for a little TLC, and that’s exactly what we delivered. The property was fully gutted and transformed, with only a few original brickwork features intentionally kept as subtle nods to the home’s character.
The kitchen layout remained familiar, but everything else was elevated. Doors were converted to drawers for better functionality, a dated brick half‑wall was removed to open the space, additional storage was added, and the old laminate benchtops were replaced with engineered stone for a clean, modern finish.
In the family bathroom, the bath was no longer needed, so we reconfigured the layout by relocating the door. This allowed for a wide vanity, a generous shower recess, and clever hidden storage solutions. The shower includes concealed niches, and the vanity drawer features hidden charging so hair tools can stay plugged in and neatly stored inside the drawer.
The games room gained valuable space with the removal of an unused bar, creating a more open and versatile area. The primary bedroom and one of the minor bedrooms were upgraded with custom wardrobes featuring pull‑out shelves and optimised hanging space.
The ensuite is now a standout feature, with an enlarged shower and a twin‑shower setup offering multiple options. A sleek wall‑faced toilet and custom drawer vanity maximise both space and storage, giving the room a clean, contemporary feel.
The laundry became far more practical with the addition of drawers and extended benchtop space — so functional it could serve as a secondary kitchenette. In the living areas, unused fireplaces were removed, bricked in, and re‑roofed, and a wall‑mounted entertainment unit was installed to suit the new layout.
Across the rest of the home, we refreshed door hardware, lighting, paintwork, flooring, skirting boards, and blinds. The beautiful raked ceilings now feel even more expansive with a white gloss finish and feature lighting. Even the entry received attention, with the old double doors replaced by a custom Jarrah feature door that creates a warm, welcoming first impression.
We’re incredibly proud of what the Perth TLC Group team achieved with this renovation: a thoughtful, cohesive transformation that brings new life to every corner of the home.
